It is with great joy that I welcome you to Word Made Flesh: Unveiling Christ through Advent and Christmas. I am Chorbishop Anthony Spinosa, serving at Our Lady of Lebanon Shrine in North Jackson, Ohio, and I am deeply pleased to guide you through this sacred journey of faith. Advent is a season of profound spiritual significance, a time when we are invited to prepare our hearts to encounter the living Christ more fully. Together, we will embark on a pilgrimage of reflection and renewal, drawing closer to the mystery of the Incarnation the Word made flesh.
In this 7 week course, we will explore the deep meaning of Advent and Christmas through the lens of our rich Catholic tradition. We will contemplate the profound truths of our faith: the coming of the Messiah, the humility of the Incarnation, and the hope and joy that Christ brings into our lives. Drawing from Sacred Scripture, the writings of the Church Fathers, and the beauty of our liturgical practices, each session is designed to enrich your understanding and deepen your relationship with our Lord.

Together, we will explore how traditional practices such as the Advent wreath, Marian devotions, and liturgical celebrations can foster a spirit of devotion, drawing us into deeper communion with Him.
