✡ Rabbi Tzvi Kogan, the assistant rabbi to the growing Jewish community in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, was confirmed dead Sunday morning, apparently murdered by three Iranian agents from Uzbekistan who fled to Turkey.

The Chabad organization confirmed his death and asked people to do a good deed — a “mitzvah” — in his memory.

Israel said that an Israeli-Moldovan Rabbi who went missing in the United Arab Emirates has been murdered and vowed to track down the killers. Rabbi Zvi Kogan's body was recovered after his abandoned car was found an hour's drive away from his home. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu called Kogan’s alleged assassination "anti-semitic terrorist attack."
