2 Kings 19:36-37 This gives us the details as to how Sennacherib King of Assyria was murdered. Sennacherib had claimed that Hezekiah’s God could not save him. Hezekiah’s God did save him, but Sennacherib’s god could not save him, even in his own temple.

Chapter 20
Chapter twenty does not take place chronologically after chapter nineteen. Most of chapter 20 (vv. 1–19) clearly occurred before Sennacherib’s invasion. The major evidence is that Merodach-baladan’s significant activities in Babylon occurred before this invasion. In the absence of explicit markers of chronological sequence, episodes in Hebrew narrative are not necessarily chronologically ordered. This chapter develops two points: (1) Hezekiah was so obedient that God granted his prayer for extra years of life, and (2) Hezekiah, in pride, misused those extra years.
Vs. 1 “In those days” (“in this same general time frame”)
When Sennacherib first began to attack Juda. (vs. 6). Why was the Lord going to take Hezekiah’s life away?
Go to 2 Chronicles 32:20-33.
