One of the signs of reformation is finances being restored. We are seeing the fulfillment of Haggai 2:7, Isaiah 60:5, 11, and Isaiah 61:6 — But you shall be named the priests of the LORD, they shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory you shall boast.
What is interesting about this passage is that it doesn’t talk about prosperity with the purpose of reaching the lost. God simply wants you to enjoy His blessings. “You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles.” Of course, you have to preach this with the whole counsel of God, including the truth that God hates materialism. He says, “The love of money is the root of all evil” (1 Timothy 6:10).
But as a pastor of 45 years, I have learned from the Word of God and my walk with the Lord that God wants His children to prosper.
