Today’s Scripture reading (Acts 28) concludes our devotional readings in The Acts of the Apostles. Assailed by political Jewish religious leaders who would have killed him (Acts 21-26), Paul appealed to Caesar for judgment. Paul’s ship ran aground on the island “called Melita” (modern-day Malta, Acts 28:1). Our study of the Book of Acts concludes with Paul as a prisoner of Rome (Acts 28:30).
