The Necessity of the Cross

Jesus came not to establish a political kingdom but to fulfill God’s plan of salvation by giving His life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28). Despite the disciples’ misunderstanding, He remained resolute in His path to the cross and resurrection, the only means of salvation and proof of God’s immense love.
