We Stand With Nepal HMLA469 Reaches the Far Corners of Nepal

Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 469 UH-1Y Hueys bring relief supplies to Khopachagu, Nepal, May 11, 2015. HMLA-469, or "Vengeance", has flown 54 flight hours, delivering 68,307 pounds of food and shelter supplies to the rural areas of Nepal since their arrival on May 3. The government of Nepal declared a state of emergency and requested international assistance after the 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck their country April 25, 2015. The U.S. military responded, bringing their aircraft to support the Nepalese government. They will continue to support Nepal as needed with the United States Agency for International Development as part of Joint Task Force 505. HMLA-469 is attached to Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
