Week 6: Kayaking, Trail Cam Surprises, and Wild Adventures!

This week, we embarked on a thrilling new adventure! We spotted a secluded spot while dropping our crab traps and decided to take the kayaks out, gear in tow, to set up our trail cams and explore what nature had in store. The area was breathtaking, with lush growth, colorful fungi, and a crystal-clear river teeming with spawning salmon in their final journey. Eagles and seagulls lined the riverside, feasting and flying, while a curious Pacific Pine Marten—known to the Haida as K'uuxuu—watched us from fallen trees.

Our trail cams captured an incredible amount of wildlife, and we’re buzzing to see what else we’ll discover in the next 7 months.
