At its essence, this is a simple beatdown deck based on a stage 2 ex. However, the deck discarding granted by hydreigon ex adds a good disruption element. By discarding our opponent's cards before they get to use them we can deny them of important pokemon line pieces, energies or trainer cards giving us the edge. Against turbo decks that go overboard with discarding and drawing on their own it can hurt them even more and possibly deck them out.
