96-year-old Ursula Haverbeck died - just before going to prison

Haverbeck was sentenced to one year in prison because, according to the court, she had "committed incitement of the people". The court accused her of denying the Holocaust.

Ursula Haverbeck is now dead. She died before she had to go to prison.

She had promised me an interview, which should have taken place immediately before she went to prison. The interview was not supposed to be about forbidden content or history. As a journalist, I wanted to let this 96-year-old woman speak, who had been banned from speaking by the courts and who was to be sent to prison repeatedly due to her perceived dangerousness. I am concerned with a question that has not lost its topicality since the Inquisition: Why doesn't the person persecuted as a heretic renounce in order to save his life? Why did the woman mocked as a "Nazi grandmother" (as the headline of "Der Stern" put it) expose herself to this persecution in full awareness?

Haverbeck already said in 2007 before the district court in Dortmund: "We do not live in a real democracy, which can be recognized by the fact that everyone is afraid. The rulers are afraid of the people, that's why there are muzzle laws, and the people are afraid of the rulers, that's why they don't dare to say what they think."

The extent to which the justice system is instrumentalized can also be seen in the incomprehensible leniency applied in other cases. For example with rapists, murderers... or the Hamburg cum-ex banker Christian Olearius. He is said to have caused a tax loss of 280 million euros. The court simply dropped the case because the man had high blood pressure.... Haverbeck was not so merciful. I wanted to find out why? Now she can no longer speak for herself and the court can shred the files with peace of mind.

She was one of the few post-war witnesses who stood up against the Zionist lies that emerged after the war to maintain the German cult of guilt
