Sky News contributor Megyn Kelly has expressed concern about the use of US missiles in Ukraine and the potential for nuclear retaliation from Russia.

It comes after Russia on Tuesday claimed six long-range missiles have been fired into its country by Ukraine, marking another escalation in the ongoing conflict between the two nations.

It is the first time Ukraine has hit Russia with the American-made weapons and came after outgoing President Joe Biden gave the green light for Kyiv to use the US missiles to strike Moscow.

“It's really terrifying, and it's really irresponsible,” Ms Kelly told Sky News host Paul Murray.

Ms Kelly went on to criticise the current administration's handling of the situation, noting President Biden's absence and the lack of clear leadership.

“Why should an outgoing president be allowed to start World War III and then pass the baton to the incoming? They give security briefings to the incoming president at this point that he should be involved at a minimum in the decision-making here because he's the one who's going to have to deal with this. Trump, not Biden,” she said.

“I mean, Biden can't be reached by anybody, not even Jill, I'm sure, at this point. So it's really scary and of all times to escalate.”
