Hey you guys! Lisa Jo here, your essential oil girl 🌿.

Today, I’m talking about something that often surprises those of us living with Hashimoto’s: exercise and fatigue. For most people, a good workout boosts energy and motivation. But if you have Hashimoto’s, intense exercise can actually make your symptoms worse.

Have you ever gone for a run or hit the gym, only to feel completely wiped out for days afterward? That’s your body’s way of saying, “Whoa, slow down!” Our thyroid impacts the entire endocrine system, and when it’s out of whack, over-exercising can send you into a tailspin.

I’m not saying don’t exercise—it’s important to stay active—but listen to your body. Gentle walks or light movement are often better choices until your symptoms are more manageable.
