Ubisoft Sued for Killing The Crew — Another Fail from a Failing Company

Once again, Ubisoft is getting sued — this time for shutting down The Crew and leaving gamers stranded without access to a game they thought they owned. Two Californian players just filed a class-action lawsuit against the company, claiming Ubisoft tricked people into buying The Crew, only to pull the plug after nearly a decade because of “server and licensing constraints.” The best part? The lawsuit goes all out, comparing Ubisoft's actions to buying a pinball machine only to come back and find it gutted — with no paddles, no ball, and your high score display ripped out. Lawyers are calling it a classic bait-and-switch: Ubisoft allegedly made players believe they were buying a game, but they were actually just renting
