Dragon Age: The Veilguard is Absolutely Tanking – Here’s Why It’s a Woke Disaster

It's been a rough launch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Just a week after hitting shelves, the trade-in value has already nosedived. At GameStop, the latest title in the Dragon Age series is worth a laughable $22—if you're lucky enough to have a mint condition copy. Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been riddled with issues since launch day, with players slamming its lackluster character creation, uninspired gameplay, and what many are calling a "woke agenda." The game aimed for an impressive 100,000 concurrent players at launch but failed to hit even 90,000. Instead, sources say sales sit around a disappointing 500,000, well below BioWare’s projections.

Refunds for Dragon Age: The Veilguard are piling up, with reports of over 30,000 digital copies returned across platforms like Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. YouTuber Endymion claims that Veilguard’s performance has been abysmal, with refunds stacking up fast—bad news for a game that needs multi-million dollar sales to break even.

Physical pre-orders also saw a huge decline just before release. With a whopping 14% cancellation rate at major retailers, BioWare’s latest attempt to bring Dragon Age fans back has clearly flopped. Many fans had high hopes for Dragon Age 4 and thought Veilguard might reignite their passion for the series. Instead, it’s fallen short, burdened by gameplay some call “woke” and uninspired.

Sources say the Dragon Age Veilguard team has already been reassigned to focus on Mass Effect 5, leaving fans wondering if BioWare and EA have completely abandoned the title.
