Even more telling, five current members of the House Ethics Committee were appointed by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who clearly has a vested interest in shaping the narrative around Gaetz. These members include:

- Michael Guest (Mississippi):** Appointed as Chairman of the Ethics Committee during McCarthy’s tenure, signaling trust and a close working relationship.

- David P. Joyce (Ohio):** Served on the Ethics Committee under McCarthy, reflecting alignment with his leadership.

- John H. Rutherford (Florida):** Committee assignments shaped by McCarthy’s influence as Speaker.

- Andrew R. Garbarino (New York):** His service on the Ethics Committee directly overlapped with McCarthy’s speakership.

- Michelle Fischbach (Minnesota):** Appointed to the Ethics Committee during McCarthy’s term, showing his direct role in shaping its composition.

Let’s not forget—the DOJ already cleared Gaetz. What could the House Ethics Committee possibly uncover that the DOJ didn’t? This report looks less like an impartial investigation and more like a McCarthy-backed revenge mission.
