SWAT, Las Vegas police respond to barricade in west valley; suspect in custody

SWAT and Las Vegas police responded to a barricade in the west Las Vegas valley Monday evening, police said.

Around 3:30 p.m., Metro police received reports of a woman firing a handgun outside her home in the area of Flamingo Road and El Capitan Way.

When officers arrived, the woman refused to exit the home, resulting in SWAT being deployed, police said.As of 6:10 p.m. Monday, El Capitan Way was closed from Debonair Lane to Saddle Avenue.

Police arrested the suspected later Monday night, according to police.
