Summer Solstice began at 5:07 AM today which is when the direct beam of the suns rays will reach the highest point in the Northern Hemisphere, the Tropic of Cancer. After today, the daylight will begin to shorten, slowly at first.  Overnight, skies will range depending where you live. Farther north, skies will be mostly clear, but farther south, they will be mostly cloudy. This slow moving storm stalled out over Iowa continues to throw cloud cover and a few light rain showers over our southern-tier counties. We can't rule out the potential for an isolated rain shower overnight or Friday. High temperatures will be very similar tomorrow to what we experienced today. Winds will remain out of the east and northeast and will be breezy between 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph at times. We will top out in the lower to mid 70s away from the lakeshore, and upper 60s by the lake. Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Moving into the weekend, there will be an increase cloud presence but it appears that the latest trends are point towards the chance of showers or thunderstorms being removed from the area. Data is now showing the storm system moving just south for most of us, but we could still see a stray shower on Saturday or Sunday. Most of your weekend looks fine.
