I Would Never Allow a Bird That Size Sit On My Shoulder

Too many times I've seen comments stating "I would never let a bird that size on my shoulder." Believe it or not I said "I'd never allow Sunny Boy on my shoulder." Sunny has come a long way in the past 6 months. Parrots will bite for several reasons. They want your attention, they might be excited, they might even be scared. They aren't out to gouge your eye out or rip your lip off. They are just doing what would be natural for them if they were in the wild with their flock. So don't go around saying that no one should allow this. It takes time and trust but it is all worth it in the end. So enjoy your parrot and build some trust so that you too can have your parrot enjoy being on your shoulder where they feel safest.
