The Cost of Confessing Christ

Sermon on Luke 9:18-17 - Trinity Reformed Church - Lords Day November 17th, 2024 - Todays message focuses the cost of following Jesus (verses 23-24) Jesus tells them that He must suffer and die. This is not what they would have expected from the Messiah. They didn't understand that the cross was the path to glory and salvation.

"Then He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it."
