India performs first long-range hypersonic missile test launch

India has successfully carried out its first test of a long-range hypersonic missile, in a launch off the country’s east coast on Sunday. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh hailed the test launch as a ‘major milestone’ and a ‘historic moment’ for India.
