Proposed deals to stop migrants 'will not work as deterrent', says shadow home secretary

Chris Philp, the new shadow home secretary speaks on Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillip on migrants continuing to cross the English Channel.

The government is contemplating paying countries like Vietnam and Kurdistan in a deal to keep migrants away from Britain, Trevor Phillips asks if the conservatives would support such a deal.

He said, 'We'd support any plan which cuts or stops the illegal crossings over the English Channel'.
