The GIFT from GOD- The First Thanksgiving PART THREE -Michael Medved 11 16 2024
PART THREE starts in the Year of the Lord 1623 was to be the SECOND Thanksgiving. Creating God's Commonwealth and the Law became front and Center over the next many years in creating COMMERCE. This is the way AMERICA was founded and the PILGRIMS had a very important method of determining how the Will of God through JUSTICE and PENANCE were resolved in creating and overcoming difficulties in the Early days of Colonial America. In 1636 the Primary issues were Social Order and the Pilgrims having learned from the Puritans before them to became more tolerant of people. After PENANCE to the Word of God and that had done Service with the elders approval they were brought back in. And with the agreement that they had satisfied God and could be an example to their humility. The Puritans Colony wanted the rights to land.
Juan mentions the STORY of THANKSGIVING by Michael Medved. And the Geneva or the Puritan Bible in several Presentations over the last year. And asked me to find this Series. Which is not PERFECT. But it is stated here by Michael Medved is the real purpose was to move this Country into the TRUE WORSHIP of GOD without the onus of the Catholic Church and Church of England that was in lock step with the KING of ENGLAND.
This is his BIO:
Born in Philadelphia, Michael attended public schools in San Diego and Los Angeles before starting Yale at age 16 as a National Merit Scholar. He majored in American History and graduated with honors, before attending Yale Law School.

The Geneva Bible was the first English Bible to include chapter and verse numbers, use Roman typeface, and include extensive commentary notes in the margins.
Popularity
The Geneva Bible was the most popular Bible for personal use until the King James Bible was published in 1611. The Geneva Bible remained popular until after the English Civil War, with the last edition printed in 1644.
In America
The Pilgrims brought the Geneva Bible with them to America in 1620. However, the King James Bible became more common in the New World as more settlers arrived in the mid-1600s.
