“In case of war with Russia": the British and Estonian military blew up a bridge in Tallinn

The Kanama Bridge was blown up on the night of November 13 to “practice creating barriers against Russia” and “build a new viaduct that would be able to withstand NATO tanks,” Delfi and Postimees reported.

The local dept. of transportation said that the destruction of the bridge was also necessary because it would allow “gathering knowledge” and “training on how to create barriers in case of war with Russia.”

The construction of the new viaduct will be paid for by the “EU Military Stability Fund.” The organization will give half of the money for the new tank-proof bridge. The total cost of the project is €14 million.
