Israeli warplanes launched a massive air assault on Beirut’s southern suburb of Haret Hreik, targeting Hezbollah positions early Saturday. The strikes, which focused on key infrastructure, included a weapons depot, a Hezbollah command centre, and other buildings believed to be associated with the militant group. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) had issued evacuation warnings to civilians in the area, urging them to stay at least 500 metres away from the targeted sites. The military operation is part of a broader strategy to dismantle Hezbollah's infrastructure in the region. This escalation follows recent rocket fire from Lebanon into northern Israel, with Hezbollah reportedly firing at least 55 rockets and deploying drones in the area, resulting in significant damage.
