Today is day 41 of total ISraeli siege on the north of Gaza and the healthcare system has been holding the frontline fighting for humanitarianism.

Today Kamal Adwan Hosptial had their first cases of famine and severe malnutrition with less than 3 days before the hospital director predicts deaths will occur due to starvation and famine. Those who are suffering are mainly children and unwell vulnerable adults.

Adults like the recently paralysed journalist Fadi Al-Wahidi. Shot in the neck by a sniper whilst doing his job of reporting the truth on the ground.

In the last 41 days our healthcare and journalist colleagues have endured:

•⁠ ⁠near daily massacres
•⁠ ⁠⁠military siege and direct threats by the IDF
•⁠ ⁠⁠starvation used against them as a weapon of war
•⁠ ⁠⁠arrests and summary executions outside their hospital
•⁠ ⁠⁠forced displacement of the injured
•⁠ ⁠⁠terrorism by IDF who bombard the hospital’s perimeter
•⁠ ⁠⁠direct bombardment of hospitals on multiple occasions injuring patients and staff
•⁠ ⁠⁠they have the suffered seeing their families, friends and children killed

…but they continue to go to work and fight to maintain humanity.
