The earth was damned. The sun’s light turned to ash, the seas boiled away, and the land—what was left of it—cracked and bled iron. The earth groaned beneath the weight of its sins. The cities, once gleaming with the fires of industry, had crumbled, choked by the smoke of a thousand machines left to rot. The sky turned dark, but it was no ordinary nightfall. It was as though the sun itself had given up, abandoning us to an endless twilight. The moon, black as coal, hung in the sky like a death sentence, casting no light, only fear.
