‘We Still Miss You So Much’: Fox & Friends Hosts Get Emotional Talking About Pete Hegseth

 will: welcome to “fox and  friends”.  joey Jones is with us of this  morning.  Rachel: good to have you here.  you took the secretary’s seat  today.  joey: I make a living of  filling in for Pete Hegseth but  that the job I don’t want.  will: he said I don’t know what  to say.  you don’t know what to say.  obviously you’ve seen  throughout the week we’ve  talked with you about our  friends, our colleague, Pete  hegseth who has accepted  nomination as secretary of  defense under Donald Trump.  throughout the morning we will  be addressing it in various  fashions but may be the first  place to start with this is not  necessarily where the news  might be but to say I’m going  to be honest.  I’m sad.  I know that you are sad.  I’m not sad because joey is  here.  we love joey, but obviously  this has been something special  to be a part of the past  several years.  I know you know the same thing  because you’ve been here when I  am out.  to be able to work with your  friends is an absolutely unique  experience in life you have to  cherish because it comes along  very rarely.  Rachel: you set a long time  ago, long time ago you said  it’s going to end, it’s  lightning and a bottle.  I will tell you this which I’ve  watched you, you’ve been going  through a lot of emotions all  week and I realize that I have  something I didn’t realize that  I had which is being a military  brat, I am use to beginning  plebe will and end so I’m  handling it better than will  although we miss you, Pete and  Joe, we are really happy to  have you here.  I don’t want him to feel — got  to love on joey a little here.  it’s hard to sit in the seat  today.  joey: got an opportunity, he  didn’t die.  will: I’m saying this for  anyone watching, you are one of  those friends, one of those  people that is a genuine  friendship and we hang out with  outside of the confines of the  studio on television and I have  been doing this a long time.  I know you have too.  it isn’t like this.  it isn’t like this.  joey: you can see how I feel  about x and how you feel and we  will talk about that later.  certainly happy for him and he  will knock this out of the  park.  Rachel: is this week has been  an interesting week in the
