TRANSFORMERS 8: RISE OF THE UNICRON – Teaser Trailer (2025) Paramount Pictures

Transformers 8 could finally take the Autobots off Earth if all the hints from Rise of the Beasts are to be trusted. The Transformers series of live-action movies first began in 2007 under the direction of Michael Bay. Since that time, the series expanded to have five movies directed by Bay before eventually rebooting with Bumblebee in 2018. Then, in 2023, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts took the story even further, back to when the Autobots first established a home on Earth, and the action-packed events that placed them here.

Now, Paramount has confirmed that Transformers 8 and 9 are in the works and will establish a new trilogy that begins with Rise of the Beasts. However, the end of Rise of the Beasts suggests that the Autobots are now settled on Earth as their new home, before revealing that greater threats from beyond the stars may be fast approaching. The film confirmed more about the existence of other Transformers scattered around the universe and laid a foundation for the next movie to finally take the story off planet Earth.
