1st April 2018 indirect contact video call number 1 between Ayrton, Gabrielle & daddy

This call starts with Gabrielle & daddy, they both give each other an enthusiastic welcoming greeting. Daddy asks Gabrielle what she had been up to during the day, pointing that it is easter day, which left Gabrielle surprised as she was unaware of it. They then move onto messing around with messenger filters, Gabrielle asks if she looks adorable with one of the filters & daddy of course agrees that she does. Daddy uses a higher pitch voice to role-play a mouse with another filter.

Daddy mentions to Gabrielle that there is a film Ace Ventura pet detective, explaining what it is about, which she finds rather cool & also says she would like to watch it with him some time. For the past 6 months, Ayrton, Gabrielle & daddy haven't been allowed to use any device, not even to snuggle up & watch a film together, as North East Lincolnshire children's services feared daddy would use the same equipment to record contact sessions. This context is relevant as it emphasizes their wish to return to daddy's house & resume those types of activities that they were not allowed within contact centres.

At some point the call drops, but then it's resumed shortly afterwards. Daddy asks Gabrielle if she would like him to read a story, to which she does, & then daddy gets her to pick one from the story books they still had at daddy's. She picks a story named smelly Bill the stinky dog. After the story finishes, Gabrielle seems to be getting tired & unable to continue for much longer however, she still wants to continue & gets sad when the time comes for farewells. It becomes more evident that she doesn't want it to end as she then tries to continue talking with daddy. Daddy takes this opportunity to show a rather funny clip of a seagull that looks like it's laughing it's head off, asking her to also show it to Ayrton.

The call then drops & daddy takes the opportunity to a restroom break. Upon returning, it's Ayrton's turn to speak with him. They both start by playing with messenger filters. Sometime during so, as part of a conversation they were having, daddy makes Ayrton feel special by reassuring he is special & unique.

Daddy then gets Ayrton to also pick a story from daddy's house for him to read. He initially chooses one with a lion however, while going through books, Ayrton then changes his mind & chooses a paw patrol story. As daddy reads it, he realises it was a story for Ayrton to read, in order to help develop his skills, & although he reads most of it, he then gets Ayrton to read the last part. Ayrton does quite well considering he was only 6 years old.

Upon daddy giving Ayrton the option to have another book read to him, Ayrton chooses to play the shootout game, & Ayrton gets to beat daddy a few times too. Mommy also plays the game in an attempt to beat daddy although unsuccessfully. It's worth reminding that mommy seems to be at ease with daddy although she is constantly portraying him as a perpetrator of domestic abuse towards her. Gabrielle then comes on to play a few games, & lastly Ayrton gets another game with daddy just before time is up. They then say their farewells to each other, opting for somewhat quick ones instead of their goodbye rituals.

This video call, although past their usual bedtime, was certainly much better than the second to last video call published. Unsurprisingly so as mommy's new boyfriend wasn't present & therefore she didn't have to behave in accordance to the narrative she fed him. Gabrielle once again indirectly expresses her desire to return to daddy's house. There were plenty of engagement amongst them during this video call indirect contact session.
