Isaiah 52 – The remarkable meaning of …“Clothe yourself in your strength,…

Isa 52:1 Awake, awake, Clothe yourself in your strength, O Zion; Clothe yourself in your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city. For the uncircumcised and the unclean Will no more come into you.

This is speaking of the time when Jerusalem is redeemed. Elohim is telling them to awake and clothe themselves in their strength. Their strength is Elohim.

Isa 12:2 “Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”

Isa 45:24 “They will say of Me, ‘Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength.’ Men will come to Him, And all who were angry at Him shall be put to shame.

Isa 49:5 And now says the LORD, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, To bring Jacob back to Him, in order that Israel might be gathered to Him (For I am honored in the sight of the LORD, And My God is My strength),

He says for them to clothe themselves in beautiful garments. Beautiful garments are righteousness and salvation.

Isa 61:10 I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Job 29:14 “I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My justice was like a robe and a turban.

Psalm 132:9 Let Thy priests be clothed with righteousness; And let Thy godly ones sing for joy.

The passage says at that time, the uncircumcised and the unclean will no longer come into Jerusalem. Jerusalem here in this passage, as well as in Revelation speaking of "New Jerusalem," is speaking of His people Israel.

Isa 35:8-10 And a highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for him who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it. 9No lion will be there, Nor will any vicious beast go up on it; These will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there, 10And the ransomed of the LORD will return, And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Ezek 44:8 “And you have not kept charge of My holy things yourselves, but you have set foreigners to keep charge of My sanctuary.”

Rev 21:27 and nothing unclean and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
