Where is God? Why Does is Seem We Are Taking a Beating?

Shannon M. Gross releases the next video in The Heart of the Matter series, part 3: “Strengthen Your Heart” to reach those who desperately need of encouragement because it seems as if God is not around. After reading Malachi, her spirit bared witness that many people today feel the same way God’s people did at that time. The people were going through motions hoping God would show up and help, but they didn’t truly believe He would. The people were beyond complacency—beyond the desperation of rescue—and had reached a point of cynicism and unbelief. Their hearts were far from God and their acts of worship weren’t out of respect, but disdain. They went through the motions doing what God told them to do on the off chance He might help rescue them. The Holy Spirit revealed there are many who identify with the people of Malachi’s time, and He wants to assure His people that His fierce love for them has never waned, and He continues working on behalf of them no matter what they see or hear.

In this video Shannon reveals a dream with a significant twist—where she felt as Christ does toward us, and understood God’s zealous love for His family. She also provides an inspired word she believes she heard from the Holy Spirit about the posture of our hearts, how Jesus would tend to it—if allowed—because it truly is a person’s choice whether Jesus blesses them. If they close their heart off from God, it doesn’t allow Him to work in them to bless their lives.

This is an encouraging word that reminds people of God’s fierce love for His people, His deep desire, and unrelenting plan to redeem His family back, and that nothing we’ve done, no place we’ve gone, can keep our Creator, God the Father, from responding and rescuing us when we finally cry out to Jesus as our Savior and ask Him to be Lord of our life.
