MG's Last Stand - MG X-Power SV

Hello again! :D

Amid the dying days of the MG marque following it's sale from the ownership of BMW, the company attempted to force its way back onto the world stage through the creation of a high performance sports car called the MG X-Power SV, a reworking of an earlier concept that had begun a decade prior as the De Tomaso Bigua.

Unfortunately, the X-Power SV's legacy is one of contention, as commentators, following MG's final collapse in 2005, speculated whether the vast amounts of money spent on this model, despite its exceptional performance, handling and brutish V8 power, could have been better spent on more mass-production models rather than on a niche high performance sports car with a price tag that only appealed to a select few.
