In 2023, as many as 6.7 million Americans—or 1 in 9 age 65 and older–-were living with Alzheimer’s disease.This number if projected to nearly triple to 14 million people by 2060.Almost two-thirds of American’s with Alzheimer’s are women. Older Black Americans are about twice as likely as older whites to have Alzheimer’s or other dementias.Worldwide, 55 million people are living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia.
