CAROLINA WILL DEFINITELY SURPRISE YOU!

So, we left Belém and state os Pará and going down in the South direction we decided to stop at one more city in the state of Maranhão called Carolina. This place is magical, the nature is out of this world and we specifically wanted to stay here because of 2 attractions that we suggested to us. Pedra furada and pedra caída. Pedra Furada is where you can do a trail and walk for aroudn 600 meters to get to the top of a mountain where you will be rewarded by a beautiful scenery and also a huge rock that has a gigantic opening; the view is absolutely amazing. Next stop for us was Complexo Turístico Pedra Caída where you can do everything. This place is a hotel, resort, has a pool, restaurant, cable car, a pyramid on top of a mountain where you can visit and also meditate, but more importantly they have a wide variety of guided tours to visit all the waterfalls in that property. You can purchase a day pass like us and choose what activities you want to do. The guided tour that we did was one of the best experiences that we have had in all these years of traveling.
