Tentacled Snakes, Erpeton tentaculatum, Eating Minnows Under Water

Tentacled Snakes, Erpeton tentaculatum are very interesting. They remain motionless, looking very much like a piece of plant root or wood. When a fish swims close enough, they move with lightning fast speed to catch the fish, then eat it.
