STRAIT OF MALACCA (March 15, 2014) Lookouts aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG 100) scan the ocean while searching for debris associated with the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370. Each piece of reported debris is reported and inspected to see if it is related to MH370. The Kidd's crew is utilizing all capabilities and assets to assist in the search of MH370. The ambiguity of the potential crash site makes the area to be searched expansive but the two MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopters deployed on Kidd project the Navy destroyer's search capability over the horizon. To date, no associated debris has been located. (U.S. Navy video/Released)
