The Cowboys’ Rico Dowdle performed an epic turtle catch, but the story of how we got there is pretty cool too. The play starts off with CeeDee Lamb telling Rico he is in the wrong spot. Then we put CeeDee in motion, Dak see’s the man follow and checks to the man beater play, which is actually the same exact play the Cowboys ran to win the game against the Steeler a few weeks back. I did a video on that. It’s in the description, but as a refresher Brooks and Tolbert will run crossers, CeeDee will run an in on the back line of the endzone, Ferguson is going to chip and release, and Rico Dowdle is going to be the check down. Snap the ball and we can see as Rico releases that this play is in trouble, but notice the linebacker. He is pointing at Rico to pass him off to the Safety so he can spy Prescott. The only problem with that is the safety has bailed off to Tolbert, Dak sees it and holds on to the ball. Somehow he is able to make 3 Falcons defenders run into each other, and a fourth miss him. Dak steps forward and gains his balance, notice how Dowdle has nobody around him. Dak floats this pass over the Ferguson’s Defender and Rico decides to make it extra exciting by catching the ball 4 times. Jesus is King.
