Dr. Jessica Spake recently arrived at Carnegie Science Obsevatories and was previously at Caltech. Her area of study is exoplanets - planets beyond our solar system - one of the hottest topics in astronomy today. Dr. Spake analyzes which exoplanets retain or lose their atmospheres, research that will also provide new clues in the search of life beyond Earth. Her talk was on "The Strange Skies of Alien Worlds."
