Wisdom For Today Devotional | Inspired By God
As we start today’s devotional, let’s remember that true wisdom comes from God. In a world full of distractions and endless information, it’s easy to lose focus on what truly matters. God invites us to seek His wisdom, the path that leads us to grow toward His love and likeness.
James writes in the fifth verse of the opening chapter of his epistle, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
So, let’s apply that right now by asking God for the wisdom we need to navigate life’s challenges with grace and understanding. And, by all means, allow me to share some 'Wisdom for Today!' Inspired by Pastor Chuck Smith from November 10th, titled, 'Inspired by God.'
---
**Verse for Today:**
*"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."*
2 Timothy 3, 16.
---
**Thought for Today:**
The Bible tells us about the eternal God who created the universe and exists outside of time and space. This same God, who created all things, loves humanity deeply and wants to live in fellowship with us. He desires that we experience the blessings of knowing Him, and He has given us His Word for this purpose. The Scriptures are not just words on a page; they are God’s message to us, filled with guidance, wisdom, and His love.
---
**Focus for Today:**
Because the Bible is inspired by God, it is infallible and inerrant.
---
**Wisdom for Today:**
Prophecy is one of the ways God shows us that He exists beyond time. He alone knows the end from the beginning and can foretell events before they happen. This unique quality proves His authorship of Scripture, with prophecy making up a significant portion of the Bible. When Jesus spoke to His disciples about His death and resurrection, He shared details of His departure and return, saying, “I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe.” Through such prophecies, Jesus confirmed His identity as the Son of God.
God’s Word was given so we may understand His nature, the path to redemption, and the way to grow spiritually. The truths in Scripture are meant to build our faith. May we read it daily, not just as listeners but as doers, putting His Word into action in our lives.
---
**Prayer for Today:**
Thank You, Father, for Your Word; a light unto our path that guides us in Your truth. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
