About The Author:

Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, she and her husband raised their two sons on 10 acres of historic Tuolumne, CA, alongside goats, chickens, and ponies. Later, she moved to 40 acres in Heron, Montana, sharing her land with elk, deer, horses, and bears. She earned a BS in Education from the University of Idaho, but had attended a dozen other colleges and universities prior to graduating.

Her first career was in the music industry. Next, she became a criminal law specialist in the California Prison System. Her work there inspired her to get a teaching certificate and is now an elementary school teacher.

She joined the Montana Geographical Alliance and was eventually recruited by National Geographic to act as a lobbyist for Geography. Geography, a broad umbrella of subjects, was not included in the original act of No Child Left Behind. So, off to DC she went, in 2007, to represent Montana's and meet with U.S senators.

Her other books include Sociopaths I’ve Known and Loved and A Chick Named Charlie.
