Jury selection underway in Greis trial

Daniel Greis, 57, faces five murder charges in the deaths of the Pollitt family. Greis was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana and was traveling nearly 100 mph when he hit the family head-on on an Independence road, according to Commonwealth’s Attorney Rob Sanders. Rodney Pollitt, Jr., 26; Samantha Malohn, 27; and their children Hailieann, Brenden and Cailie Pollitt, who were 9, 8 and 6, respectively, were all killed in the Oct. 26 crash.
