Thornton says 'Landman' shows 'ups and downs' of oil industry

"Landman," a new series coming to Paramount+, explores the underbelly of the petroleum industry with Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy as the guide. Thornton says the series shows "the good, the bad, the ugly of the oil business" as it delves into the relationships and the people affected by it. The show is written and directed by Taylor Sheridan (‘Yellowstone’, ‘1923’) and is based on the Boomtown podcast by Christian Wallace, who was on the set every day to answer questions.
