US deadline threat expires: Pressure lifts on Israel to abide by humanitarian law

The US says it will not suspend military transfers to Israel because it has made good progress allowing more aid into Gaza. Last month, Washington set Tuesday as a deadline for Israel to ensure that more food and emergency assistance get into the Strip or face losing aid-including military support.
