Dr. Carol Burger Poe, a 67-year-old woman, was reported missing on October 15 in Sunset, SC. An investigation and search operation ensued, focusing on the Horse Pasture Road and Laurel Valley Road area. Unfortunately, Dr. Poe was found deceased on Friday at 3:45 p.m. in a remote wooded area behind Camp Hannon. According to officials, her body was discovered in a ravine, approximately 40-50 feet below the surrounding terrain. Her dog was found alive nearby. The circumstances surrounding Dr. Poe's death are currently under investigation..
