Doug Collins, former congressman for Georgia, weighs in on how the Republican Party should balance ideas from new voices while preserving conservative values. “We have such a lag time, whether it be healthcare, whether it be our energy resources, whether it be the differences of how we can actually put things into process and work, that we’re actually becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy,” he says. “I would hope that we would take in any ideas, look at it, if it works—great. If it doesn’t, we move on to something else.”
