Ep. 8 Stavros and the diner : The No-Books Library

Chad and Judy head to a quiet, out-of-the-way diner, a place Chad refers to as “The Library.” Inside, they meet Stavros, the diner owner and the information broker they’ve come to see. Despite the name, there’s no actual library—everything is stored in Stavros’s head. He’s a man who deals in off-the-record information, details not found in any official databases, yet still incredibly reliable.

Stavros operates much like the government, pulling data from various sources, but in ways that are far less conventional. After hearing Chad’s request, Stavros agrees to do a deep dive into the rogue security firm and its connections, promising to get back to them as soon as he has something concrete. Chad hands over cash for the intel, knowing Stavros’s reputation for thoroughness. As they leave the diner, they both understand that whatever Stavros finds could be the key to unraveling the mystery and uncovering the dangerous motives behind the security firm that’s hunting Judy—and now, Chad as well.
