Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s close advisor, Ron Dermer, met with US President-elect Donald Trump to discuss Israel’s plans in Gaza, Lebanon, and its broader strategy against Iran. The discussions centred on aligning future military and diplomatic efforts, with Israel reportedly expressing a desire to resolve the Lebanon conflict within weeks. At the same time, talks between US and Israeli officials aimed to finalise a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, though significant issues remained. Lebanese Hezbollah officials, meanwhile, signalled their preparedness for an extended conflict, underscoring that no ceasefire proposals were under consideration. On Nov. 11, Israel carried out airstrikes in Lebanon’s Akkar region, marking a significant escalation and resulting in casualties, while clashes in Gaza claimed the lives of four Israeli soldiers from the Kfir Brigade. In Yemen, Houthi-controlled Al Masirah TV reported US and UK airstrikes against Houthi positions, allegedly in response to maritime security threats, intensifying the regional conflict dynamics further.
