Citizens upset with US President-elect Donald Trump’s win are thinking about leaving the country. According to Google Search data, there has been an increase in US-based users interested in moving to Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. Google says searches like “move to New Zealand” saw a 2,000 per cent jump within 24 hours of polls closing, while similar searches about Canada and Australia saw over 1,200 per cent and 800 per cent surges, respectively. Hollywood celebrities, including singer Cher, actor Sharon Stone, and television host Jimmy Kimmel, have shared their opinion about Trump’s re-election, saying they would rather leave the country than live under Trump’s second presidency.
