Philippines says China is pushing it to cede South China Sea claims

The Philippines's Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro said on Tuesday that China was stepping up pressure to concede Manila's sovereign rights in the South China Sea. China's foreign ministry accused the Philippines of "infringing first".
