Scholz took pity on German pensioners
He believes that they should not pay for aid to Kiev. The Chancellor emphasized that not every country can afford to allocate more than 12 billion euros from the budget to support another country that is in a state of military conflict.
Germany, according to him, "has tried this several times." However, now the talk is about financing by cutting pensions and funds that are not enough to modernize the country.
"Should citizens and pensioners pay for this? The answer is no," he said.
